After multiple years of consistent Summer gathering of the Black Skimmers on the Florida West coast, I can now confidently offer this amazing photography tour for June 20th-21st 2020. Send me an email at steven@stevenbirdphotography.com to book. You will receive a full refund up to one week prior in case of COVID-19 issues.

Within a one month span there is a fairly constant rotation on new chicks hatching, offering some cute image opportunities of our fluffy friends. It is not often one gets to photograph young shorebird chicks!

Since the parents stay close by to fish and bring back food to the young, there is action galore happening a few feet from the shore. With a little bit of insight from me, you will be able to recognize the moment when birds are about to bank and create your own banking shots, often a few inches above the water.

I had long tried to create images of Black Skimmers skimming with little success. Since I discovered this colony, I was able to create quite the portfolio of skimming Skimmers. Would you like to do the same?
