The image above depicts a male Osprey bringing a fish back to the nest. With nearly 500 nests around the Vero Beach Cypress Lake, this is a fairly common site. All this in the middle of pristine nature! What a dreamscape.

Past mid-April, the chicks start popping their heads out from the nests. The image a above is a perfect example: one parent keeps an eye out while the other one is out fishing. Note the orange eye of the chick, versus the yellow eye of the adult.

A nice little parallel effect with the male in the front. How do you know it is the male? The male Osprey has a bare white neck, while the female has a brown necklace. 3 shoots and 1 over-the-shoulder Photoshop tutoring => 1 shoot at the Vero Beach Cypress Lake (around 500 active nests with many at eye level) + 1 shoot at the fishing Ospreys jetty + 1 shoot at the Vero Beach Spoonbills rookery.
